The Alliance of Construction Professionals of Northwest Ohio (ACP) is an umbrella labor-management coalition that works in association with its contractors (the employers) and construction-trades labor groups (the employees) to advocate for and protect Northwest Ohio’s building and construction trades industry.
Through educational, marketing and community outreach efforts, the ACP advances the well-being of the region’s construction sector by ensuring the highest safety and quality standards, expanding industry employment opportunities, enhancing the working and living environments for skilled trades workers and promoting fair wages.
The ACP also promotes Northwest Ohio as a place to build and do business -- in large measure because Northwest Ohio contains qualified construction professionals whose contractors are signatory to trade unions and whose workers are supported individually by union locals.
The ACP Mission
The primary goals of the ACP of Northwest Ohio are to:
1) Inform interested people about careers in construction, and
2) Market the unionized construction industry to owners and users of construction.
The ACP works to accomplish its mission by providing customers with accurate information about the industry and union labor, and promoting better communication between labor and management.
