Toledo Electrical J.A.T.C.

The Toledo Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (J.A.T.C.) educates electricians and technicians through diversified on-the-job training supervised by qualified journeypersons and related technical classroom instruction. The Toledo Electrical J.A.T.C. is administered by I.B.E.W. Local 8 and the Ohio/Michigan Chapter NECA, and its programs are taught at the state-of-the-art Toledo Electrical J.A.T.C. facility in Rossford, Ohio.

The J.A.T.C. annually provides about 70 apprentices to the region’s construction industry through its three educational programs, spending over $2 million dollars each year to train all of its apprentices and journeyman electricians.

Each year, apprentices are provided with approximately 40,000 total hours of classroom education time, while journey persons attended classes totaling approximately 15,000 hours.

The Toledo Electrical J.A.T.C. conducts three Apprenticeship Training Programs:

  • Inside/Commercial Electrical Wiring Program
  • Residential Training Program
  • Teledata Communications Program
